ABOUT THE ROLE
The Junior Product Manager - Web Application reports to the Director of Data and supports the Department of Data, Operations, and Finance of DC PCSB in planning, developing, launching, and maintaining a data-collection web application. The  Junior Product Manager - Web Application will help define the product vision, product KPIs, UI/UX elements, and business rules and documentation for a web-based application to support LEA data submission and validation tasks. Ideally, candidates should have 1 year of relevant experience and be professionally curious and passionate about the intersection of technology, data analytics, and public education.

Core Responsibilities
  • Create wireframes and product specification documents to help engineers deliver working features in the web-application.
  • Represent user needs during sprint planning and backlog refinement.
  • Write and refine user stories that describe workflows, validations, and edge cases in user-friendly terms.
  • Help facilitate user testing and manage the feedback loop with early adopters.
  • Resolve user support tickets related to the web-application.

  • A post-secondary degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating similar skills and reasoning ability
  • Demonstrates  knowledge in SQL and Query Optimization and  Data Preparation & Transformation in Python. Can independently execute this work with minimal supervision.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary is competitive and commensurate with prior experience in a similar role. DC PCSB offers a comprehensive benefits plan covering 100% of the employee’s insurance premium. To foster fair compensation practices within our organization, there is a non-negotiation policy built within our compensation system. The salary for this role is $70,898 - $82,141.
