ABOUT THE ROLE The Junior Product Manager - Web Application reports to the Director of Data and supports the Department of Data, Operations, and Finance of DC PCSB in planning, developing, launching, and maintaining a data-collection web application. The Junior Product Manager - Web Application will help define the product vision, product KPIs, UI/UX elements, and business rules and documentation for a web-based application to support LEA data submission and validation tasks. Ideally, candidates should have 1year of relevant experience and be professionally curious and passionate about the intersection of technology, data analytics, and public education.
Core Responsibilities
Create wireframes and product specification documents to help engineers deliver working features in the web-application.
Represent user needs during sprint planning and backlog refinement.
Write and refine user stories that describe workflows, validations, and edge cases in user-friendly terms.
Help facilitate user testing and manage the feedback loop with early adopters.
Resolve user support tickets related to the web-application.

A post-secondary degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating similar skills and reasoning ability
Demonstrates knowledge in SQL and Query Optimization and Data Preparation & Transformation in Python. Can independently execute this work with minimal supervision.
Compensation and Benefits Salary is competitive and commensurate with prior experience in a similar role. To foster fair compensation practices within our organization, there is a non-negotiation policy built within our compensation system. The salary for this role is $70,898 - $82,141.
